The Comforters concert was is an event that took place on the 05th of June 2022 at the community hall of Soshanguve. The main purpose of the concert was for fundraising and to bring back the love of choral gospel music to the youth. The concert started at 12h00 clock in the noon.

The concert had about 50 people, the choir was singing gospel songs. The comforters had both female and male gender. The males of the choir were wearing all black and the females were wearing black tops and skirts.

They did not restrict people who were attending the concert to any theme, they were singing songs in different languages. They sang Christian songs.

According to my opinion, the choir sang beautiful songs that connected me to God and made me realise how important is my religion. The songs made me feel like I am in church, and I can praise God for the things that he has done for me.

What I did not like about the event was that they did not give us any food, they indicated that they would provide food and refreshments.

The community hall did not have décor which was disappointing because it showed that the organisers did not put any effort. In my opinion, the choir members sang well the concert was phenomenal.

Milano Rumo (23) who is a driver conductor at Tshwane Rapid Transit said, “The concert was amazing, and I wish I did not come to an end because I was enjoying myself and they sang my favourite song which was o Kgethelwe that was led by Itumeleng one of the choir members.”

“I love the Comforters choir because they make me feel comfortable and have more faith in God,” Milano Added.

Letlhogonolo Mohajane (30) a manager of the comforters said that the choir did not give its best “I felt like they should have practiced more so that they can sound great, but they will do better next time,” he mentioned.

In conclusion, the purpose of the event was to bring the youth together so that they can rejoice, and praise God and it was a success because people attended.
