Tshepang Setshedi a 21-year-old who is a co-owner of the agency, said that their first event started
on the 29th August 2021. His colleagues hosted a birthday
celebration at a joint food in Soshanguve block H for him. The main aim of the
event was to give upcoming DJs and MCs the platform to let people hear their
craft.
“The first DJ we helped was DJ Nathi, now he is the youngest
Hip Hop DJ in Soshanguve. He started being noticed after the event he also got
called by the groove kings who play amapiano. We help a lot of young local
upcoming artists we also assist females who want to become DJs and do not have
a clue or courage on where to start,” Tshepang added.
“We host events in various places around the township, but
we check if the place is beneficial to us and them because we would like to
host in places where they sell food and where also they allow other young youth
members to sell or promote their products. “Said Tshepang.
Tshepang also added, “Our Agency is empowering to the youth
because we have helped people who did not have courage and believed in
themselves. We hyped them up some wanted to quit being DJs and entertainers
because they could not get any gigs, but we gave them that platform.”
The youth of Soshanguve is being empowered as it is kept off the streets and is given an opportunity to showcase its talents in the entertainment industry.
